Who we are
Established in 1952, Koomarri provides community support, housing and employment services for over 350 people with moderate to severe disabilities and their families in the ACT and surrounding districts.
Koomarri's vision of ensuring people with disabilities lead full and abundant lives is implemented through its Employment and Business initiatives and its Community Services programs.
Koomarri Employment and Business initiatives not only provide supported employment for people with disabilities; the businesses are operated as commercial businesses. Income derived from business activities goes back into supporting employment and business services.
Koomarri Community Services run a number of Community Programs which support people with disabilities to participate in the community, either through recreational or social activities and/or community housing. These services are funded by the ACT Department of Disability, Housing and Community Services and the ACT Department of Health and Community Services.
