ActewAGL

Koomarri's partnership with ActewAGL commenced over ten years ago. The enduring partnership between ActewAGL, Canberra's electricity, natural gas, water and wastewater service provider and Koomarri has provided a range of benefits to both organisations. Over the partnership period Koomarri has been provided with financial support valued at over $120,000 and in-kind support valued at above $500,000. ActewAGL have contributed a range of business services to the partnership, including enhancement of Koomarri’s IT system and ongoing IT support, expert advice and services, web page development and maintenance, public relations and marketing services.

ActewAGL were significant financial and technical contributors to the building of the Koomarri Centre which opened in March 2006.

The Hellenic Club of Canberra

When the proposal to move Koomarri from Fyshwick to Woden came about the idea was floated to create a partnership between the two soon to be neighbours. The The Hellenic Club of Canberra was a significant financial contributor to the construction of the new Koomarri Centre and held representative positions on the construction committee for the new development. The financial contributions from the Club of are ongoing and the relationship is that of good neighbours with both organisations looking out for each other and supporting each others functions.

The Canberra Times

Each year The Canberra Times runs the Outdoor Art Show for 1 week in March. Since the art show commenced over 12 years ago a percentage of money raised from the sale of all art work has been donated to Koomarri. In its early years the art show raised approximately $4,000 for Koomarri. In 2006 the proceeds donated to Koomarri from money raised at The Canberra Times Outdoor Art Show exceeded $29,000. Koomarri values the generosity of The Canberra Times and the relationship developed over the art show years.

ClubsACT

The partnership between Koomarri and ClubsACT has been ongoing for a number of years. Each year ClubsACT hosts the Koomarri Christmas Party drawing on the resources of the Clubs Industry to help entertain the entire Koomarri family, which often exceeds 300 people. Koomarri values its relationship with ClubsACT staff and the opportunities that are presented through this ongoing partnership with the ACT Clubs Industry.

Minter Ellison Lawyers

Minter Ellison have provided ongoing pro bono legal, constitutional, organisational and industrial relations advice to Koomarri over a number of years. In particular Minter Ellison were significant players in Koomarri’s change of corporate and legal structure when Koomarri converted from an incorporated body to a company limited by guarantee in May 2005.
