Compliance and Policy Branch
Koomarri places priority on providing the best possible support and services to its clients. As such, the Compliance and Policy Branch supports the organisation by:
- Developing policies and procedures which will support staff in providing quality services to clients in a consistent way across business areas;
- Monitoring operations to ensure that Koomarri complies with external regulations, standards and requirements and internal policies and procedures;
- Evaluating and reporting against quality and other performance indicators, both internal and external; and
- Identifying and implementing training and development opportunities which will equip Koomarri staff in acquiring best practice skills and expertise in the field of disability service provision.
The Compliance and Policy Branch is responsible for framework programmes and tools including Koomarri’s:
- Risk Management Plan, Disaster Recovery Plan and Business Continuity Plan;
- Training and Development Programme;
- Internal Audit Calendar; and
- Entry and Assessment Protocol, including the client waiting list.
Koomarri actively seeks to collaborate with other service providers and stakeholders through shared training programmes and the establishment of supported employment opportunities in the public and private sectors. Compliance and Policy Branch plays a key role in ensuring that these opportunities are identified and progressed.
Koomarri welcomes and values feedback from clients, families, funding bodies and other stakeholders. Compliance and Policy Branch is responsible for seeking and analysing input and suggestions with a view to enhancing performance where possible.
