Koomarri supports people who live with a disability to achieve their life goals, dreams and aspirations. We support more than 300 people and their families across a diverse range of business, training, community and residential initiatives. 

Koomarri has remained true to our vision and area of expertise throughout 66 years of service in the ACT and southern NSW and this commitment underpins every service we provide. Taking a strengths-based, person-centred approach to the delivery of our services means we form strong relationships with our service users, their families and support networks.

Our diverse range of programs enables us to deliver a robust wrap-around service that builds the capacity of individuals to meaningfully engage with their community through work, social activities and skills development.

Overview of our services

Skills development - we have a strong focus on skills development and community engagement through social and recreational activities including short courses. 

Customised employment - our Career Discovery Program develops work skills using a customised employment approach that includes targeted work experience placements.

Business capability - individually tailored short and long term employment support within government and private businesses. We provide on the job training, advisory support, job assessment and task reviews.

Commercial businesses - we operate four commercial businesses that provide supported employment opportunities in a commercial environment.

Case management - complex case management and support coordination for clients with multiple and complex needs.

Supported accommodation and in-home flexible support - using a family governed model of support, we operate a range of in-home and flexible support programs in the community.

ISO 9001:2015 certification

To demonstrate our commitment to the delivery of quality services and programs, Koomarri undergoes annual audits to maintain ISO 9001:2015 certification.

The audit examines the capability and effectiveness of Koomarri's quality management systems including compliance with customer, statutory and regulatory requirements. The auditors also ensure we continue to meet our specified objectives and are satisfying the needs of our stakeholders. 

The auditors consider our formal documentation including WHS manuals and forms including employee goals and assessments. Staff and service users are also interviewed to provide feedback on our performance.

Our continued certification under this framework provides all our service users with assurance that Koomarri programs are of the highest quality.
