Social and Community Skills
Our skills courses are aimed at increasing independence and confidence in a number of different areas including money management, travel training, cooking and other life skills.
We offer two hour classes in nutrition and meal preparation. Participants learn about healthier eating habits and basic meal preparation using simple, fresh ingredients and easy to follow instructions. Classes include visits to the supermarket for ingredient shopping, meal preparation and cooking. Students are taught all aspects of kitchen and food safety. This is a fun, popular class where everyone has a great time.
Our Social and Community Skills Building course provides a relaxed, social atmosphere while also improving participants' life skills. The course has a monthly timetable of activities that are delivered by our experienced staff. We cater to people with all skill levels and focus on getting out and about in the community as much as possible. If you are looking to learn new skills while meeting new friends and having a great time, this is the group for you!
